There are too many people who don't allow themselves the pleasure of being amongst the beautiful golden sand and the rolling crystal waves simply because of the preparation needed before a beach day.
So here's 3 quick tips to simplify your beach day to get you back to the shore!
Our hundreds of beach accessories often seem like the root cause of the beach-day stress, but that all changes when you pick products that don't work against you.
Sand Free: Sand free products and surfaces are your best friend.
After the beach, sand will make its way into your car and home, and will be an absolute pain to get rid of.
You can easily get ahead of the cleaning by using products that don't cling on to sand.
Quick Drying: Wet products are magnets for sand and bacteria, and can cause a severe mess in your vehicle.
By using products and fabrics that are quick-drying, you save yourself the inconvenience. By the time the product even gets to your car, it'll be dry and mess free!
Light and Compact: A vehicle packed to the point of bursting is something that most of us are used to when heading towards the beach.
Lugging heavy and bulking items from the house to the car, from the car to the beach, from the beach to the car, from the car back to the house, is even exhausting to just read about.
A way to lighten the load and reduce the stress is by packing light and compact products. Things that fold down neatly into small and light items save your body the strain and your mind the anxiety.
Stand Out: If I had a penny for every time I left something at the beach, I could go buy back all of the things I left behind. A great way for not stressing over losing your possessions is by having very bright and unmistakeable ones.
Have your things stand out, and you'll be relaxed in style!
If you're the type of person who's going to have a heart attack trying to bring yourself and others to the beach and back (with all your possessions), I implore you:
Plan ahead! While it may take some of the excitement out of a spontaneous day at the beach, it'll save you the stress, and you'll be able to fully enjoy the day.
Essentials: Load your vehicle with all of the essentials the night before!
Your beach chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen, shovels, change of clothes and every other object that can camp out in your car overnight will be waiting for you to calmly carry them away to the beach.
You'll have the night to think about anything you may have forgotten, and skipping the frenzy of scrambling to throw any and all essentials into the car will do your spirit well.
Snacks: Prep your snacks the night before!
Get everything you want to sip and munch on into a cooler, and keep it in your fridge. The morning of, just grab your cooler, pack it into the car, and enjoy not having to worry about getting hungry on your blissful beach day.
The morning of your beach day, all you have to do is get in the car, and drive off to the happiest place on Earth. It's that simple!
When you're organized, you're always ready to go.
Going to the beach involves what seems like a million moving parts, all of which are scattered around the house, but it doesn't have to be that way.
In order to cut down the stress and hassle of fetching everything you need, find a cupboard, drawer, or corner of the house that you can transform into your Outdoor Supply.
Here, you would keep all of the equipment, and even clothing (like swimsuits), that you solely use at the beach, on hikes, or in any outdoor setting.
Next time the beach begins to call your name, walk over to your Outdoor Supply, grab what you need, and go (or pack it in your car and head over tomorrow).
We could all use a higher dose of salt, sand, and sea, so don't let the hassle keep you away. It only takes a few simple alterations in your routine to get you to and from the beach, feeling relaxed from start to finish!
MAKE YOUR TRAVEL LIGHTWEIGHT, COMPACT, AND SAND FREE
Wouldn't it be ideal if towels didn't take up so much space, didn't catch a funky smell or attract so much sand, if they dried faster, and were a bit more stylish? We thought so too.
Cotton towels are a thing of the past, so step into the future and give microfiber a chance!
